# Raids

To progress to new islands more easily, your best bet is to equip your characters with specific [**items**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/inventory/introduction/items).\

**Raids**

Your [**$**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/token/usdbooty)[**BOOTY**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/token/usdbooty) is the price of triumph. 

By completing Raids, you acquire [**Battle Boosters**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/inventory/introduction/items) which helps you win [**Battles**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/game/missions/battles). These are extremely powerful, and will significantly increase the chance of winning. If the battle is won, the [**Battle Booster**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/inventory/introduction/items) is destroyed. **These** [**items**](https://docs.reavers.xyz/inventory/introduction/items) **can only be obtained through raids.**
